Mother Nature's Remedy · separate R&D project

A living botanical intelligence lab.

Botanica is the formulation-intelligence layer on top of MNR: constantly scanning botanical evidence, health-industry movement, safety signals, and remedy ideas — then turning the best findings into organized, review-ready product concepts.

What we know so far

The foundation

MNR

Mother Nature's Remedy

The parent herbal project. Current surfaces include Docta and Spiritual-Search. MNR owns the safety posture: peer-reviewed evidence first, regulatory sources second, anecdote/tradition clearly labeled.

Docta

Shopify herbalist assistant

A floating storefront widget with OpenAI guidance, product recommendations, and a HeyGen avatar proxy. Recent work expanded protocol language, so claims and interaction guardrails are the immediate priority.

Botanica

Separate R&D lane

Botanica now has its own project folder, plan, tickets, research queue, and formula-draft space. It borrows MNR's research standards but tracks its own formula roadmap.

Operating thesis

“Felt, not filler” — translated safely.

The creative goal is distinctive, experiential botanical products. The compliance translation is: no disease claims, no prescription-drug equivalence, no guaranteed effects, no consumer dosing directions, and no high-risk stack without research review. Every concept below is a hypothesis, not a recommendation.

What Botanica watches

Living watchlist

Formula lab

Possible blend ideas

Filtered by target state. These are internal R&D concepts with evidence notes and risk flags, not medical advice or finished product claims.

Talk to the formulator

Botanica Lab Bot

An open-ended creative formulation bot for exploring botanical blend concepts. Ask for a target state, format, flavor direction, ingredient theme, or potency level and it will brainstorm combinations with safety review flags.

Claims and safety architecture

Language to use internally

  • “Target state” instead of disease treatment.
  • “Formulation hypothesis” instead of protocol.
  • “Candidate ingredient range needs review” instead of dosing instructions.
  • “Evidence quality: peer-reviewed / traditional / anecdotal / unknown.”

Language to avoid publicly

  • Prescription analogues such as “Adderall-like,” “Xanax-class,” or “MDMA-like.”
  • Claims to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate disease.
  • Guaranteed onset, guaranteed effect, or “works for everyone.”
  • Unreviewed contraindication or drug-interaction guidance.

Mandatory review flags

  • Mood, anxiety, sleep, hormones, pain, pregnancy, liver risk.
  • Anticoagulants, sedatives, stimulants, SSRIs/SNRIs/MAOIs, CYP interactions.
  • High-potency extracts, obscure botanicals, or stacked actives.
  • Any consumer-facing copy or formula launch decision.

Evidence anchors

Research notes powering the first pass

The full claims review is still open. These anchors are included so the site is transparent about where early assumptions came from.

Execution path

What happens next

  1. Living scan. Run the daily autonomous research pulse and keep the site fresh.
  2. Safety review. Finish Botanica agent claims/safety review before consumer-facing usage.
  3. MVP format. Expand one-formula-at-a-time output into both cards and the Lab Bot: target state, mechanism, candidates, safety flags, evidence anchors.
  4. Chat upgrade. Wire Lab Bot to a secure backend LLM/proxy if Armon wants true open-ended AI conversation beyond the static rules engine.
  5. First research brief. Pick one high-potential formula and run MNR-style evidence review.
  6. Design decision. Decide if Botanica stays on-demand or gets its own planner/researcher/worker trio.
